About Me
I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where I grew up. I am a Townie. My husband and I have an amazing son who excels in math and is an incredible swimmer, baseball and piano player. We have three dogs. The oldest came home with me from Nepal as a puppy in 2009. The smallest, maybe from Mexico (?), was rescued from a shelter in Chicago by Sasha Farm and came to us in 2016. Our third dog, the youngest and 72 pounds, was given to us by relatives in 2021.
When home with family and animals, I watch the wildlife outside the large windows facing our back woods. When not distracted by birds, squirrels, chipmunks and deer, I hope to type up 30-plus years of my own handwritten travel journals. I spend time scrolling through my photographs and enjoy creating videos about my trips. It's a good day when I find time to draw, make earrings, sew, write, sing, dance or create an amazing dinner without complaining!
As a more formal job, for many years I have been organizing and leading adventure trips to Nepal, Peru and other parts of the world. When not traveling, I love welcoming guests at my vacation rental home near downtown Ann Arbor. At this small house, my artwork, drawings and travel photographs, among many other treasures, are part of the Everything's Artwork collection. The house is a guesthouse, an event space and an art museum!
